Origin of Scriptures

What a blessing to have Pastor Wesley Towne with us this past weekend to share with us the validity of scripture. One of the things that I took away from Sunday morning was what He said concerning the culture of Pauls day, how that the Roman Empire was bringing in all types of religions, all types of spirituality, how there was a massive number of different thoughts and beliefs and it was in this culture that Christianity with its ABSOLUTE TRUTHS was powerfully received. We to live in a day where being spiritual is cool, and spirituality is accepted, but there is a hunger to know what is TRUTH! That Truth is only found in Jesus! Even as John 17:17 Says My words are Truth! What a encouragement for the TFAB body to continue to share truth, to be bold in the Truth, and to not shy away from the truth even when the post-modern, emergent reading, liberal thinking, man or woman desires to spew out the falsities that the bible is just a beautiful story, or that the bible simply contains God’s Word. We will not be ashamed of the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ! We will love like Jesus, which means we will also speak Truth like Jesus!
