Right now we are taking a break from our normal flow of working through the New Testament. We have decided to not enter the book of Hebrews until September do to the fact that we really desire the whole body present for this book. Summertime is often chaotic juggling schedules, vacations, camping trips etc… So we have decided to hit 2 smaller books, Jonah and Habakkuk before we hit Hebrews. It is our desire that you as a body make our study of the book of Hebrews a priority in your life and in your schedules as it lays down such foundational truths concerning our Great High Priest, and how Jesus truly is GREATER THAN, BETTER THAN any system, covenant, law, ministry, angel or creation!

That said I am really enjoying this study right now in JONAH! It’s a whale of a story about a very selFISH prophet who places his own comfort, priorities, above that of the very people God Loves! It is a book perhaps like no other that looks into the heart of a servant and reveals what and why they truly serve! Over the course of the next few weeks we will see a God doing a heart examination on this rebelious prophet and the ignorant people of Ninevah.
Chapter 1 we see a Rebelious heart
Chapter 2 we see a Restored heart
Chapter 3 we see a Repentant heart
Chapter 4 we see a Wrong heart Vs Right Heart

For all throughout the book we see The loving caring compassionate Heart of God revealed to this prophet, the sailors, and a entire nation of people that had rejected HIM….

I pray that as we study this book you will be taken captive by the Loving heart of God, and you will be convicted to change course as you see His passion for those we Love to HATE!!!!
May God give us ears to hear what His Spirit would say to the Church as we set sail in the book of Jonah!
